Where Did All the Time Go?

Since last time I saw my Czechia,

feels like years ago, 

I need to come back once to see ya.

Returning to Real Life

Going back to everyday life and routine can be brutal.

Back home in France, I am about to begin the first year of my master’s degree in international relations at Sciences Po Lille. But I have to be honest: student life does not feel the same without an international environment - and the prices are not as Erasmus-friendly anymore.

Yes, returning to routine is difficult.

The time without so many responsibilities, work, and pressure is over. For almost one year, Erasmus life felt like a gift. We enjoyed Prague and Czechia as much as we could, and we have no regrets.

Life continues, but Erasmus memories remain.

What Erasmus Gave Me

I still deeply believe that Erasmus can be one of the best experiences of your life.

I brought independence, adaptability, and international friendships back home with me.

Thanks to social media and WhatsApp groups, I have met some of my Erasmus friends again in France. These platforms make it much easier to stay in touch, even when we now live in different places.

I also brought the Erasmus mindset home. I try to meet more international people in France, travel more, and discover new places in my own country.

Life has offered me many new and exciting experiences since my Erasmus stay. Still, I must admit that the energy and excitement of living abroad for the first time in your early twenties is different.

It is a once-in-a-lifetime feeling.

The Things I Miss About Prague

I miss Erasmus student life in Prague: the restaurant gardens, the beautiful parks, and the riverbanks.

Surprisingly, public transport is also something I wish I could have brought home with me.

But all these things remain in Prague, in Czechia - and that is exactly what makes them special.

I know that Prague and Czechia will always feel like home and remain a part of me.
